Willian may reunite with Mourinho

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho will return to former club Chelsea in the January transfer window to sign Willian, should the winger fail to reclaim his place in Antonio Conte’s XI, the Daily Star reports.

A combination of injury, bereavement and international duty have seen the 28-year-old Brazil international lose his starting place just as Chelsea have gone on a six-game unbeaten run that has seen them top the Premier League table.

Willian, who is rated at £40 million, was Chelsea’s Player of the Year last season, scoring 11 goals and assisting seven more despite the Blues’ struggles.

Arsenal keen on Kamara

Arsenal have their eye on 17-year-old Marseille defender Boubacar Kamara and hope to sign him before he signs his first professional contract with the Ligue 1 side, says the Express.

Marseille are hopeful of convincing Kamara, who captains their reserve team and represents France at under-17 level, to stay put with a long-term deal, but it may be too late as the highly rated teenager has also been watched by Chelsea, Borussia Dortmund and Paris Saint-Germain.

Milan Badelj, left, is one of the Croatian internationals whom Chelsea are reported to have an eye on.

Chelsea eye Croatian duo

Chelsea are ready to table an offer for Fiorentina and Croatia midfielder Milan Badelj and are also interested in his club and country teammate Nenad Tomovic.

According to Calcio Mercato, Badelj could be the subject of a head-turning bid from the Blues in the near future. But their interest in Tomovic may not come to anything, the report adds, and claims Conte is also a fan of La Viola winger Federico Bernardeschi.

Chelsea have already signed Marcos Alonso from Fiorentina this season and recruited Juan Cuadrado from the Italian side in 2015.

Belotti won’t come cheap

Andrea Belotti, a supposed target for Manchester United, is not worth the €90 million release clause that will reportedly be inserted in his new Torino contract, his manager Sinisa Mihajlovic has said.

Gazzetta dello Sport reports that Belotti, 22, has been linked with a transfer to Old Trafford after a flying start to the season that includes six goals in his last three games for club and country and a total of 10 goals in 11 Serie A appearances.

Mihajlovic, who won Serie A with Lazio and Inter Milan as well as lifted the Coppa Italia on four occasions, said the price tag was “exaggerated” and commented that he would be worth €100m in today’s market.

Tap-ins

– Speculation that Antonio Rudiger is interested in leaving Roma for Chelsea has surfaced after the defender declined to answer a question about his future with the Italian side. The London Evening Standard reports that Rudiger said “next question” when asked to reassure Roma supporters he would not leave for the Premier League.

– Everton manager Ronald Koeman gave a clear indication he is looking to add to his squad when he told a news conference on Friday: “We are working to get the best players in” ahead of the January transfer window.

– West Bromwich Albion and Hull City will battle it out for the signature of Southampton striker Jay Rodriguez in January. The Telegraph reports that Rodriguez, 27, is a loan target for the two Premier League sides after failing to play regularly for the Saints under Claude Puel.
