Paris rally to hold Nice, Juventus win derby

Without a goal in 2016/17 before Sevilla’s trip to Galicia, Vicente Iborra racked up a second-half hat-trick to keep his side within a point of second-placed Barcelona in the upper reaches of the Liga table.

Fresh from slotting five goals past Leicester in midweek, Porto rattled in another four to grab a second consecutive Liga victory following their run of three draws in Portugal’s top flight. For Iker Casillas, meanwhile, the result brought a fifth straight clean sheet.

Leverkusen left it late to claim their first success in four Bundesliga outings, Stefan Kiessling burying his first goal since 14 May after Schalke lost Naldo to a fourth-minute red card. 

Benfica 2-1 Sporting CP (Salvio 24, Jiménez 47; Dost 69)
The Eagles cemented their four-point lead at the top of the Portuguese Liga after securing the spoils in the Lisbon derby. Match-winner Raúl Jiménez took his tally to three goals in four outings as Benfica went five points clear of their third-placed rivals.

Arsenal 3-1 Stoke City (Walcott 42, Özil 49, Iwobi 75; Adam 29pen)
Arsenal lost centre-back Shkodran Mustafi to a hamstring injury in the first half. His replacement, Héctor Bellerín, set up the equaliser for Theo Walcott as the Gunners extended their unbeaten Premier League sequence to 14 matches.

Bayern München 5-0 Wolfsburg (Robben 18, Lewandowski 22 58, Müller 76, Douglas Costa 86)
Bayern returned to the top of the Bundesliga in style, the Bavarians leapfrogging Leipzig after the promoted team suffered their first defeat of the season away to lowly Ingolstadt.

Radamel Falcao registered his first hat-trick since 9 December 2012 – when he hit five in Atlético Madrid’s 6-0 triumph over Deportivo La Coruña – as Monaco chalked up another emphatic victory. The principality outfit have scored 53 goals in their 17 Ligue 1 fixtures this term.

Köln 1-1 Borussia Dortmund (Rudņevs 28; Reus 90)
Marco Reus salvaged a point for Thomas Tuchel’s men against a Köln side unbeaten at home since 10 April.

Leicester City 4-2 Manchester City (Vardy 3 20 78, King 5; Kolarov 82, Nolito 90)
Claudio Ranieri’s team, back to full strength after their 5-0 loss to Porto on Wednesday, blew City away in the early stages. Jamie Vardy ended a goal drought for Leicester dating back to 10 September en route to his first Premier League hat-trick.

Osasuna 0-3 Barcelona (Luis Suárez 59, Messi 72 90+2)
Lionel Messi took his tally of Liga goals for the season into double figures in Pamplona. Both sides hit the woodwork, Barcelona through Luis Suárez after 12 minutes, before the Uruguay forward opened the scoring by tapping in Jordi Alba’s low cross.

Real Madrid 3-2 Deportivo La Coruña (Morata 50, Díaz 84, Ramos 90+2; Joselu 63 65)
Madrid made it a club record 35 games undefeated with a dramatic come-from-behind win. Trailing 2-1 after Joselu had struck twice against his former employers, a side minus the rested Cristiano Ronaldo, Luka Modrić and Karim Benzema equalised when Mariano Díaz headed in Lucas Vázquez’s cross. Sergio Ramos won it at the death, powering in Toni Kroos’ left-wing corner.
