With 76 points on matchday two – when making Cengiz Ünder captain proved an inspired move – The Scout is looking to capitalise on matchday three. Who makes the cut for the 15-man squad?
Goalkeepers
Enticing home fixtures for Liverpool and Roma mean The Scout trebles up on both teams for matchday three, starting in goal. Alisson Becker (€5.5m) is in action on Tuesday when Crvena zvezda are the visitors to Anfield; should the Brazilian not deliver the goods, Roma’s Robin Olsen (€4.0m) is a decent bet on Wednesday, when the Italian side take on CSKA Moskva.
Defenders
Those enticing home games for Liverpool and Roma means there’s space for Andy Robertson (€5.5m) and Alessandro Florenzi (€5.0m) in defence; Nacho (€5.0m) is a low-budget way into the Real Madrid back line for a home game with Viktoria PlĹľen, despite their five-match winless streak. Ajax also have high hopes at home to Benfica, especially after performing so well in their previous game at the Amsterdam ArenA. Matthijs de Ligt (€5.0m) comes in, as does Kieran Trippier (€5.5m) given his defensive and attacking potential for Tottenham’s trip to PSV Eindhoven.
Midfielders
The midfield is based around two big-name signings; Mohamed Salah (€11.0m) completes the Liverpool contingent for that Crvena zvezda match while Philippe Coutinho (€8.5m) is selected for Barcelona’s meeting with former club Internazionale at the Camp Nou. Erik Lamela (€7.0m) scored at the weekend and is worth a punt for Spurs while Ajax’s Hakim Ziyech (€7.0m) has three goals in his last four appearances. Also in fine form is Borussia Dortmund youngster Jadon Sancho (€5.0m), something of a gamble for a double-header against AtlĂ©tico Madrid, but two goals and six assists in the Bundesliga make him well worth a shot.
Forwards
The strike force is comprised of two high-budget forwards and a cheaper option who might just prove worth the gamble. Edin Džeko (€10.0m) will lead the Roma attack, while Kylian Mbappé (€10.0m) has 13 goals in 12 games this season as Paris take on Napoli at the Parc des Princes. The outside bet is Júnior Moraes (€6.0m), whose Shakhtar Donetsk side face a tough tie at home to Manchester City. With ten goals in 12 league appearances this season, the Brazilian is a man in form.
