Chelsea bracing for double departure of Hazard and Costa this summer

Michael Ballack warns Eden Hazard of a move to Real Madrid, but does he have what it takes to be a Galactico?

The football world’s gossip mill is in full swing, and Transfer Talk is monitoring the whispers ahead of all the summer moves. Check out the latest deals here.

Chelsea braced for ‘body blow’ of double departure

They may be clear at the top of the Premier League, but not everything in Chelsea’s garden is rosy, according to the Sun.

The English publication reports that the Blues “are facing a body blow, with both Eden Hazard and Diego Costa set to leave this summer.”

Hazard has been strongly linked with Real Madrid, and the Sun writes that they “appear increasingly confident of signing the playmaker for a world-record £100 million” with his Chelsea teammates “concerned this will be his final season in the Premier League.”

The Mirror echoes that analysis, reporting that Bernabeu chiefs “feel they are getting encouraging signs that the Belgium international will be ready to leave at the end of the season if the Blues clinch the Premier League title.”

Costa, the Sun adds, is also likely to be on the move after having said he is happy at Chelsea but is “not saying I’m happy with my life in London, because that is something totally different.”

Chelsea could be set to lose both Diego Costa and Eden Hazard in the summer, according to reports.

At the heart of that, apparently, is the often gloomy weather, with the Sun quoting a source as saying: “Even though it has been nice for the past few days, sometimes you can go for more than a week without seeing the sun shine. It affects him.”

Man United ready to consider Januzaj bids

It doesn’t seem long ago that Adnan Januzaj was seen as the next big thing at Manchester United, but now they are ready to listen to offers, according to the Telegraph.

Januzaj has been on loan at Sunderland, linking up with former United manager David Moyes, but has failed to impress with the Black Cats adrift at the foot of the Premier League. And United are “prepared to offload him so long as an acceptable offer is forthcoming.”

The Telegraph reports that a switch to either France or Italy appears the most likely, with Paris Saint-Germain, Marseille, Lyon, Monaco, Juventus, AC Milan, Inter, Roma and Napoli the interested parties.

Although there could yet be bids from the Premier League, Januzaj “is thought to favour a move overseas.”

After multiple unsuccessful loans, Adnan Januzaj’s future may lie away from Manchester United.

The winger, 22, signed a new five-year contract in 2013 but seems almost certain to go as part of a summer of change in which manager Jose Mourinho aims to add a striker, a midfielder, a left-back and a centre-back.

Januzaj could be one of several players heading out, with Wayne Rooney, Matteo Darmian, Ashley Young, Chris Smalling and Luke Shaw among others tipped to make exits.

Tap-ins

– Last week, reports suggested that Arsenal were set to offer a deal to Chilean midfielder Marcelo Allende of Deportes Santa Cruz after he impressed during trial spells, and now the Mirror reports that they have done so.

The reports state the 18-year-old has trained with the first team, with senior players “hugely impressed with his ability.” Allende came through the Cobreloa youth academy — as did Alexis Sanchez — and Arsenal “are now negotiating a deal which would see him join next season.”

– There’s a growing queue of clubs interested in teenage Anderlecht midfielder Youri Tielemans, and the Sun reports that Monaco have joined it. Tielemans has also been reported to be interesting Paris Saint-Germain and Marseille, with Liverpool and Chelsea thought to be leading the Premier League clubs looking at the 19-year-old.
