TOP STORY: Jose Mourinho eyes triple raid on Atletico
Atletico Madrid stars Antoine Griezmann, Yannick Carrasco and Jose Gimenez are all targets for Manchester United, according to the Mirror.
There has been long-standing interest in Griezmann and Gimenez at Old Trafford, but the Red Devils are now looking at Carrasco too, and even sent scouts to watch him in action for Belgium against the Netherlands.
The 22-year-old, who scored for Los Colochoneros in the Champions League final last season, penned new terms just last month, which included the same buyout clause as Griezmann, reportedly set at €100 million.
Hart to stay in Italy next season
England No.1 Joe Hart is likely to remain in Italy next season with the Express revealing that Torino are desperate to sign the Manchester City goalkeeper permanently next summer.
Hart has been told categorically that he has no future under Pep Guardiola at the Etihad, but the 29-year-old has enjoyed a good start in Serie A with the Granata, helping Sinisa Mihajlovic’s side to seventh in the table.
Hart could have an offer from AC Milan too though, as the Rossoneri are expecting interest in their teenage goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma — with City among his admirers.
Liverpool look to Bundesliga to solve defensive woes
Liverpool are looking to sign Bayer Leverkusen’s highly rated young defender Jonathan Tah, reports the Mirror.
The Reds sit top of the Premier League, but the back four has seen a series of individual errors. Dejan Lovren and Joel Matip have struck up a promising partnership, but Jurgen Klopp is keen for a more commanding centre-back.
Tah could be just that with his commanding presence, but he also possesses outstanding ability with the ball at his feet to make him, at 20 years old, one of the finest prospects in the Bundesliga.
Man United target Bruma
Manchester United are lining up a move for Galatasaray winger Bruma, with the Sun detailing Mourinho’s side are set to table an £8m offer.
The Portuguese international is known for his lightning speed and could bring much-needed penetration to the Red Devils’ attack. Tottenham are also interested, though, and given that the 22-year-old’s contract runs until only 2018, Gala could be keen to cash in on the former Sporting star before his value dips any lower.
Tap-ins
– Benfica are battling to hold on to Swedish centre-back Victor Lindelof, with Gazzetta dello Sport reporting that Juventus, Internazionale and Napoli are interested. The 22-year-old is also being discussed as a backup for Paris Saint-Germain after David Luiz’s departure left Unai Emery short of cover.
– Arsenal are monitoring Greek starlet Panagiotis Retsos with the Sun reporting the Gunners watched the 18-year-old defender in Greece’s under-19 international with Wales. The Olympiakos prospect can play in any role across the back but has been starring for the Greek giants at left-back this term.
