Manchester United can put a major dent in Liverpool’s hopes of landing a first league title since 1990 when the sides meet at Old Trafford on Sunday, according to Nemanja Vidic.  The Serb won five titles during his time with the Red Devils, and has backed his former club to derail their great rivals’ championship bid.  Liverpool’s 3-1 win against United at Anfield in December proved to be former boss Jose Mourinho’s final game in charge, and his replacement Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has transformed a team that had come to seem directionless under the Portuguese.  And Vidic thinks any continuation in the kind of approach United have taken since he Norwegian took the job will be sufficient to put a spanner in the Reds’ title charge.  “My prediction for Sunday is 2-1 to United but they have to match Liverpool ’s aggression and energy,” Vidic told the Daily Mail. “If they do that, they will win the match.  “The movement of Mo Salah and Sadio Mane running in behind and Roberto Firmino, that’s a challenge for the defenders.
