Tottenham the latest with Pulisic interest; Dybala tops Barca wish list

Herculez Gomez doesn’t buy the idea that Christian Pulisic is the future of world football.

The football world’s gossip mill is in full swing, and Transfer Talk is monitoring the whispers ahead of all the summer moves. Check out the latest deals here.

Spurs are latest with Pulisic interest

Up until now Liverpool have been the main Premier League club with mooted interest in Borussia Dortmund and U.S. sensation Christian Pulisic, mainly because of the Jurgen Klopp connection.

But the Daily Mail reports that Pulisic’s performances for BVB have begun to spark interest elsewhere, with Tottenham chief scout Steve Hitchen taking in BVB’s Champions League quarterfinal first-leg defeat against Monaco.

Pulisic, 18, didn’t start the game but came on at half-time and gave a good account of himself as Dortmund scored twice. Pulisic, who is contracted to Dortmund until 2020, was recently the subject of reported interest from Bayern Munich.

Arsenal could make Alexis England’s top earner

Alexis Sanchez might not be happy on the pitch at Arsenal, but he could soon be an extremely satisfied man off it, with the London Evening Standard reporting he will be made an offer to become the Premier League’s best-paid player at £300,000-a-week.

And what’s more, Arsenal could make a similar offer to convince Mesut Ozil, who also has just over a year left on his current deal, to stay in North London.

Manchester United, Manchester City and Chelsea are thought to have interest in Sanchez. But if he leaves Arsenal, they could be hesitant to loan him to a Premier League rival, so Paris Saint-Germain would have an advantage.

However, while his potential wage is a major factor in Sanchez’s decision-making process, he is also keen to find out about Arsenal’s summer transfer plans and the future of manager Arsene Wenger before making a final call.

Barca eye summer makeover

Philippe Coutinho has been linked with a move to Barcelona for some time.

Barcelona’s 3-0 defeat to Juventus in the Champions League this week has left no doubt for those in charge at Barca that changes are needed this summer, and according to Sport, plans are already underway to that effect.

Apparently a list of dream signings has been drawn up. Names include Philippe Coutinho, Hector Bellerin, Marco Verratti and Paulo Dybala — although the Argentine has committed to a new long-term contract at Juventus since that report.

In addition, there will be a bigger focus on the club’s academy, which Sport reports has been forgotten in recent years. That could see Carles Alena promoted to the first-team squad and Gerard Deulofeu re-signed from Everton.

With many names rumoured to be leaving Stamford Bridge, which Chelsea players will leave this summer?

Tap-ins

— Rising Monaco star Kylian Mbappe is flying under no one’s radar after his stellar Champions League campaign for the principality club, but according to Tuttosport, it’s Inter Milan that want him most. The outlet reports that the Nerazzurri are lining up a  €70m bid for the 18-year-old, who scored twice in Monaco’s 3-2 win against Dortmund on Wednesday.

— The Daily Mail claims that rather than target Dele Alli, Kyle Walker, Danny Rose or Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain in the transfer market, Manchester City will look abroad because they feel English players will prove too difficult to sign given their long-term contracts or the unwillingness of Premier League clubs to sell to league rivals.

— Liverpool are set to kick off their summer spending with the signing of a new goalkeeper, but it will not be the big-name arrival many fans had hoped for. The Daily Mirror reckons Vitezslav Jaros will arrive from Slavia Prague after turning down Southampton. There is probably nothing for Loris Karius or Simon Mignolet to worry about just yet, though, as Jaros is only 15 years old.

— Slightly more encouraging for Liverpool supporters will be the pursuit of Virgil van Dijk. It was reported in Thursday’s Transfer Talk that Everton were keen on the Southampton defender, while Manchester City and Chelsea are also reportedly in the race.

But Liverpool have history when it comes to signing players from St. Mary’s, and according to the Daily Mail, Jurgen Klopp will be given the financial backing he needs to land big names (such as the Netherlands defender) this summer.
