Kerim Frei to Birmingham City
According to various outlets, Birmingham City look set to sign Besiktas winger Kerim Frei for a reported £2.2 million. The former Fulham player, who also spent time on loan at Cardiff City, joined the Turkish side in 2013 and has made over 100 appearance for the club. New Blues boss Gianfranco Zola seems to believe the 23-year-old could be the spark to push them into the promotion chase.
Robbie Brady to Bournemouth
Bournemouth have joined Villa, Burnley and Sunderland in the queue of clubs interested in Norwich City’s Robbie Brady. The Canaries have slapped a £10m pricetag on the versatile 25-year-old and are prepared to keep hold of him if their valuation isn’t met. The Cherries are in the market for defensive reinforcements after conceding three or more goals in eight of the last 10 matches.
Andrea Ranocchia to Spurs
Reports in Italy suggest there is a tug of war between Spurs and West Ham for the services of 28-year-old Inter Milan defender Andrea Ranocchia. The Italian club reportedly want €10m for the centre-back but are prepared to strike a loan to-buy deal. Spurs are in need of a defender following the injury to Jan Vertonghen. With the team in the title hunt yet again Pochettino will need strength in depth to maintain the challenge and Ranocchia may be a short-term fix.
Jese to Las Palmas
Paris Saint-Germain attacker Jese has been linked with moves to Roma, Liverpool, Milan and Middlesbrough but it appears he’s set his heart on a return to Spain. He’s reportedly even willing to take a pay-cut to push through a move to Las Palmas. Marca claim the 23-year-old is desperate to return to home to get his career back on track and the guaranteed first-team football on offer with his hometown team is more than enough to convince him where his future lies.
Christian Benteke to Chelsea
The Guardian claim Christian Benteke, along with Everton’s Romelu Lukaku, are the two names heading up Antonio Conte’s list of strikers if the Diego Costa disagreement can’t be smoothed over. Benteke has been linked with the club in the past and it seems affection at Stamford Bridge for the big Belgian wasn’t exclusive to Jose Mourinho. There have also reports recently suggesting Crystal Palace boss Sam Allardyce wants to cash in on the £30m forward so he can bring in his own players.
