Dominic Solanke to Celtic
Chelsea academy product Dominic Solanke is being linked with a move to Celtic this summer and a reunion with Brendan Rodgers. The 19-year-old worked with Rodgers while he was a youth coach at the West London club, and Rodgers described the youngster as a “fantastic talent” when asked about the speculation. Solanke — who has also been linked with Liverpool and RB Leipzig — spent last season on loan at Vitesse, but has failed to break into the first-team this term.
Victor Valdes to Manchester City
Pep Guardiola will turn to his former charge Victor Valdes to solve his goalkeeper issue, according to reports. Neither Claudio Bravo nor Willy Cabellero have impressed this season, while Joe Hart is expected to be sold this summer, and Valdes is expected to leave the Riverside following Middlesbrough’s relegation. Despite Boro dropping back to the Championship, the North East club boast the best defensive record in the bottom half, with Valdes keeping eight clean sheets in 28 appearances. Guardiola managed the 35-year-old stopper for four seasons at Barcelona, while the Spaniard is also comfortable with the ball at his feet, something that’s very important to the Manchester City manager.
Dani Alves to Chelsea
Juventus right-back Dani Alves has emerged as a summer target for Chelsea, Spanish daily Sport is reporting. The 34-year-old starred for Juve in both legs of their Champions League semifinal win over Monaco, scoring his side’s second goal in their 2-1 second-leg victory. With Chelsea returning to European competition next season, Antonio Conte is keen to add depth to his squad, while there are doubts about Victor Moses’ ability to compete at the top level.
Sandro Ramirez to Everton
Malaga’s young striker Sandro Ramirez is wanted by Everton this summer, and Boquerones coach Michel has admitted that the club will struggle to keep hold of the player if he wants to leave. The 21-year-old has scored 14 goals in La Liga this season having joined from Barcelona last year, but with a €6 million release clause in his contract, the club will be powerless to stop him joining the Toffees. Ronald Koeman and director of football Steve Walsh scouted the forward during Malaga’s game against Celta Vigo on Sunday, while the Dutch manager was later spotted talking to Sandro’s agent.
Thomas Lemar to Arsenal
Arsenal have identified Monaco midfielder Thomas Lemar as their No. 1 transfer target this summer. The France international has scored 14 goals in all competitions for Leonardo Jardim’s side and is considered one of the most exciting talents in Ligue 1. Lemar is valued at around £25m but with a number of top clubs also reportedly tracking the player, including Juventus and Chelsea, this figure might rise. Arsene Wenger looks set to stay on at the Emirates after a difficult season, and the French manager knows he’ll have to invest significantly in the squad in order to win back support of the fans.
