SWANSEA: The club have named former United States boss Bob Bradley as their new coach after parting company with Francesco Guidolin.

LA LIGA: Barcelona were stunned for the second straight season at Celta Vigo on Sunday, losing 4-3. Real Madrid missed the chance to move back to the top of the Primera Division table as they drew 1-1 at home to Eibar, while Atletico Madrid beat Valencia 2-0 at the Mestella, Villarreal drew with Espanyol and Athletic Bilbao lost 2-1 to Malaga. NICE: Nice coach Lucien Favre has said he struggled to understand Mario Balotelli’s red card against Lorient and is backing the striker to deliver more than just goals this season.

SERIE A: Juventus stayed top of Serie A with a convincing 3-0 victory at Empoli. Roma secured a scintillating 2-1 victory over Inter Milan, while AC Milan won a 4-3 thriller against Sassuolo but Napoli‘s unbeaten start ended 1-0 vs. Atalanta. MAN CITY: Pep Guardiola admitted Tottenham had been “one step in front” of his side in Sunday’s 2-0 defeat at White Hart Lane.

TOTTENHAM: Mauricio Pochettino described the 2-0 win over Manchester City on Sunday as “nearly perfect” and challenged his players to maintain that level for the rest of the season.

ARSENAL: The Gunners are preparing to offer defender Hector Bellerin a new deal to secure his future at the Emirates Stadium, sources close to the club have told ESPN FC.

– Arsene Wenger admitted Arsenal had been lucky to get a 1-0 win at Burnley on Sunday after a last-ditch winner went in off Laurent Koscielny’s arm.

MAN UNITED: Henrikh Mkhitaryan is likely to miss Armenia’s games against Romania and Poland following a request from Manchester United, the nation’s FA has confirmed.

– United are stepping up their interest in Racing Genk attacker Leon Bailey, sources close to the Premier League club have told ESPN FC.

– Jose Mourinho said his team should have had a “fat result,” scoring five or six goals, instead of a 1-1 home draw with Stoke City on Sunday.

CAMEROON:  Former Cameroon international Rigobert Song is in a coma after suffering a stroke on Sunday, L’Equipe has reported.

WORLD CUP:  Germany head coach Joachim Low has warned against expanding the World Cup to 40 teams, saying it will “dilute the sporting value” of the tournament.

WEST HAM: Co-owner David Sullivan has played down the crowd disturbances during Saturday’s home match with Middlesbrough, saying reports on the trouble have been “sensationalised.”

BORUSSIA DORTMUND:  Marco Reus is edging closer to a return to action as he battles to overcome the groin injury he sustained in May.

FRANCE:  Karim Benzema hopes to be able to play again for France, despite the ongoing police investigation that saw him excluded from Les Bleus‘ Euro 2016 squad.

UNITED STATES: Jurgen Klinsmann has called in a mix of veterans and emerging talents to his squad ahead of upcoming friendlies against Cuba and New Zealand on Oct. 7 and 11, respectively.

MLS: Brad Evans scored with a late penalty kick as the Seattle Sounders beat the Vancouver Whitecaps 2-1, while Montreal Impact beat Orlando City FC 1-0.
