Paris Saint-Germain linked with move for &pound30m-rated Daniel Sturridge

Paul Mariner gives his thoughts on potential moves for Seamus Coleman, Daniel Sturridge, Alexis Sanchez and more.

The football world is in full swing, but Transfer Talk is already monitoring the whispers ahead of all the summer moves. Check out the latest deals here.

Sturridge to swap Liverpool for Paris?

French champions Paris Saint-Germain are set to offer Liverpool’s Daniel Sturridge the chance to get his career back on track at the Parc des Princes, according to the Mirror.

A lack of form and fitness has seen the striker feature in only 14 Premier League games this season, and there is a feeling on Merseyside that the 27-year-old doesn’t fit into manager Jurgen Klopp’s long-term plans.

The paper reports that PSG would prefer to take Sturridge on loan initially, with a view to making the deal permanent should the England international regain his scoring touch.

Liverpool, however, think they can sell Sturridge for £30 million and may hold out on PSG if some other club — potentially West Ham — can stump up the cash in the summer.

Trio targeted for Pep’s summer revamp

Pep Guardiola is planning to spend £115m on William Carvalho, Ryan Bertrand and Ben Gibson in an effort to turn Manchester City into genuine contenders for the Premier League title.

The Sun reports that Sporting Lisbon and Portugal midfielder Carvalho — who is valued at £60m — heads the list of targets and is seen as the long-term solution to City’s problems in central midfield.

And Southampton left-back Bertrand — who could cost up to £30m — and highly rated Middlesbrough central defender Gibson are wanted to shore up City’s defence.

The Mail on Sunday adds that Pablo Zabaleta, Bacary Sagna, Gael Clichy and Willy Caballero are among the names that will be jettisoned by Guardiola at the end of the season.

Reus, Koulibaly linked to Chelsea

Antonio Conte likes the look of Borussia Dortmund forward Marco Reus but has been told it will cost £70m if he wants to sign the Germany international for Chelsea, according to the Sunday Express.

Reus has long been linked with a move to England, particularly with Arsenal, and it is easy to see why. Although he has suffered with injuries the 27-year-old has developed into a player of devastating quality, and has six goals and five assists in only 14 appearances for Dortmund this season to prove that point.

Meanwhile, the Sunday Star claims that £60m-rated Napoli defender Kalidou Koulibaly is another played being lined up by Conte, with a view to replacing John Terry, whose time at Chelsea will end this summer.

Gray attracting Spurs’ attention

You can expect Tottenham to be busy come the summer too, with Burnley striker Andre Gray reportedly in Mauricio Pochettino’s sights.

Gray, who scored twice for Burnley in their 3-2 defeat at Swansea on Saturday and has netted eight times in 21 Premier League appearances overall this campaign, is into the final 15 months of his contract at Turf Moor.

The Sunday Express claims that while Burnley hope to tie the 25-year-old to a new contract he would be willing to move on if a club playing in Europe were to covet his services.

Tap-ins

– Man United and Man City risk missing out on Ajax starlet Daishawn Redan with RB Leipzig closing in on his signing, sources in Germany have told ESPN FC.

– Chelsea’s hopes of signing Craig Gordon aren’t completely over, but any deal could cost a bit more than the Premier League leaders might have originally hoped. That’s because BBC Sport reports that the 34-year-old Celtic goalkeeper is set to sign a new long-term contract that will keep him at Celtic Park until 2020.

– Staying on the subject of goalkeepers, Sunderland are expecting a summer bid for Jordan Pickford from Manchester City. The 22-year-old, who has also been linked with Everton and is a reported target for Liverpool, has been watched several times by Pep Guardiola’s staff, according to the Telegraph, and could be lined up to replace Joe Hart.

– The Sunday People reckons Liverpool are monitoring 19-year-old Udinese goalkeeper Alex Meret. Currently on loan at Serie B side SPAL, Meret is tipped for big things in Italy, but is viewed as a prospect for the future rather than an immediate option for the No. 1 spot in Jurgen Klopp’s team.
