Premier League Tips Gameweek 29 – 2018/2019

Saturday 2nd March

Spurs v Arsenal – 12.30pm (Tom)

3rd v 4th – 4 points between them
Spurs have lost their last 2 games
Arsenal have won their last 3 games
Spurs are still yet to draw a game this season!
W9 L4 at home – winning the last 3 on the bounce
Spurs have won the last 2 home games against Arsenal to nil
Arsenal’s away form is ropey – Lost 4 of the last 6
Their only win was 1-2 v Huddersfield

Tip: Spurs win (2.10) – Kills me, but this is decent odds
Score Prediction: 2-1

– – –

Bournemouth v Man City – 3pm (Olly)

They have won their last 4 league matches and have kept a clean sheet in their last 3
Man City have won their last 7 matches against Bournemouth in all competitions
Bournemouth got battered 5-1 away to Arsenal last week but are unbeaten in the last 5 in the league at home
Bournemouth will make it difficult here, but ultimately I think City will edge it.

Tip: City to win & BTTS (2.55) / Draw HT and City FT (4.50)
Score: 1-2

– – –

Brighton v Huddersfield – 3pm (Will)

Brighton have failed to win their last 7
All their success is coming in the FA Cup
Quarter Final coming up vs Millwall later this month
Lost last home game 3-1 to Burnley
But only lost 1 of their previous 4 (1-0 Liverpool)
Haven’t scored more than 1 in that time
Away from home Huddersfield have scored 1 goal in 7 games (all comps)

TIP: Under 1.5 (2.7) / Brighton win to nil (2.55)
SCORE: 1-0

– – –

Burnley v Palace – 3pm (Tom)

15th v 14th both on 30 points – Hard game to call
Burnley lost 2-0 v Newcastle in midweek
Before that they were undefeated in 8 games
At home they’re in very good form
W4 D1 L1 of the last 6
3 of their last 4 games has seen BTTS
Palace are decent away
Won 3 of their last 5 away games
And have scored 22 goals in 14 away games this season
3 of their last 4 games has also seen BTTS
Zaha has 4 in his last 5 games

Tip: BTTS (1.82) / Zaha anytime (3.10)
Score Prediction: 1-1

– – –

Man Utd v Southampton – 3pm (Olly)

Solskjaer extended his unbeaten league record to 11 matches
had 9 first team players missing
Man Utd are undefeated in their last 6 matches against Southampton in all competitions.
Southampton have only won 3 away games all season
Lukaku is doing the business 2 in their last game, expect more of the same here as he is likely to start.

Tip: Lukaku Anytime (2.05) – RED
Score: 2-0

– – –

Wolves v Cardiff – 3pm (Will)

7th v 18th
Wolves still 7th but just drew with Newcastle and Bournemouth and lost to Huddersfield
Lots of points dropped
Need a win here badly because they then have Chelsea, Arsenal and United twice to play.
At home they are unbeaten in 5 (all comps)
Cardiff have conceded 8 in 2 games

TIP: Wolves win (1.52)
SCORE: 2-0

– – –

West Ham v Newcastle – 5.30pm (Tom)

10th (36 points) v 13th (31 points)
West Ham have only won 1 of their last 6 games
And that was against Fulham – who everyone is beating
But at home they have a decent record – undefeated in last 4
Beaten Arsenal and drew with Liverpool in that time
Newcastle are one of the form teams in the league right now
Won 4 of their last 6 games – only loss was 1-0 v Spurs
And that was a late goal – goalkeeper mistake
Away from home they are winless in 5 though
Lost 3 – drew 2 – so I fancy a West Ham to just edge it
The last 4 meetings between the sides have all seen over 2.5 goals

Tip: Over 2.5 goals (1.94) / West Ham win (2.10)
Score Prediction: 2-1

Sunday 3rd March

Watford v Leicester – Midday (Olly)

8th vs 11th
First official game for Brendan Rogers. New manager syndrome?
Watford were thumped 5-0 by Liverpool in midweek. They are unbeaten in their last 3 on home soil, though haven’t scored more than 1 in any of their last 4 at Vicarage road
Leicester have seen BTTS in their last 3 games
Hard game to call.

Tip: BTTS (1.76) / Draw (3.40)
Score: 2-2

– – –

Fulham v Chelsea – 2.05pm (Will)

Chelsea just beat Spurs 2-0 which was much needed (after League Cup Final and FA Cup losses)
But they have failed to score in their last 3 away games, conceding 12!
Far from comfortable
Lots of problems behind the scenes. Sarri is on his last legs
Very good time for Fulham to host them
Even though theyve only scored 1 in last 4, conceding 10
Last home game before United they won 4-2 v Brighton

TIP: Fulham to win either half (3.1) / Fulham HT Chelsea FT (20.0)!
SCORE: 1-2

– – –

Everton v Liverpool – 4.15pm (Tom)

9th v 1st – 33 points between them!
Everton won 0-3 v Cardiff in midweek
Before that they’d lost 3 on the bounce and only scored in 1 of those
They’ve lost 4 of the last 5 home games too
Only win was v Bournemouth – who are useless away (lost 8 on the bounce)
Liverpool have drawn the last 2 away games v West Ham and Man Utd
But smashed Watford 5-0 in midweek – great win
Liverpool won the reverse 1-0 with a last minute winner
They have 4 clean sheets in a row in the Premier League

Tip: Liverpool to nil (2.70) – RED / Draw HT Liverpool FT (4.50)
Score Prediction: 0-1
