Real Madrid’s Spanish record unbeaten run is over after they were stunned by a late turnaround, Los Merengues losing for the first time in 41 matches in all competitions. Cristiano Ronaldo put the visitors ahead with his 56th Liga penalty – equalling Hugo Sánchez’s benchmark – but a late Sergio Ramos own goal brought the teams level before Stevan Jovetić completed Sevilla’s comeback to move his side within a point of Madrid at the summit, having played a game more.

Fiorentina 2-1 Juventus (Kalinić 37, Badelj 54; Higuaín 58)
Juventus lost for the first time since late November to ensure added drama in the Serie A title race, with the champions undone by Croatian duo Nikola Kalinić and Milan Badelj. Gonzalo Higuaín responded with his 13th league goal this term, but it was not enough to prevent Juve’s lead being whittled away to a single point – though they boast a game in hand.
Everton 4-0 Man. City (Lukaku 34, Mirallas 47, Davies 79, Lookman 90+4)
Josep Guardiola’s charges suffered a blow to their Premier League title hopes at Goodison Park as two teenagers struck in the English top flight for the first time. Romelu Lukaku’s first-half effort was the catalyst before Kevin Mirallas, academy graduate Tom Davies and debutant Ademola Lookman registered after the interval. City remain fifth, ten points off leaders Chelsea.
Porto 3-0 Moreirense (Óliver Torres 30, André Silva 42, Marcano 62)
André Silva found the target for the sixth time in as many games as second-placed Porto posted their first victory in 2017. Benfica’s draw on Saturday has allowed Nuno Espírito Santo’s side to close the gap at the top to four points.
Napoli 3-1 Pescara (Tonelli 47, Hamšík 49, Mertens 85; Caprari 90+4pen)
Lorenzo Tonelli registered for the second week running before Marek Hamšík’s 106th effort for the Partenopei edged him closer to Diego Maradona’s record of 115 strikes. In-form winger Dries Mertens sealed the win with his 50th goal for Maurizio Sarri’s men in all competitions.

Marseille 1-4 Monaco (Rolando 28; Lemar 15, Falcao 21, Bernardo Silva 45 56)
Free-scoring Monaco enjoyed another impressive victory to return to the head of the Ligue 1 table, the Principality side moving on to 60 goals scored from 20 games to leapfrog Nice on goal difference. Leonardo Jardim’s men have failed to find the net just once in the league this term – away to Nice in September.

Swansea 0-4 Arsenal (Giroud 37, Cork og 54, Naughton og 67, Alexis Sánchez 73)
Olivier Giroud was on target for the fifth game running as the Gunners claimed all three points at a Swansea side managed by ex-Bayern assistant Paul Clement. Two second-half own goals gave the visitors breathing space before Alexis Sánchez capped an impressive personal display by getting on the scoresheet himself.
Barcelona 5-0 Las Palmas (Luis Suárez 14 57, Messi 52, Arda Turan 59, Aleix Vidal 80)
Luis Suárez scored twice and Lionel Messi was on target for the seventh outing running as Barcelona cut loose. The pair each took their Liga tallies to 14 goals this season before Arda Turan and Aleix Vidal, with his first for the club, sealed it. Barcelona now lie third, having cut the gap to Real Madrid to two points, though they have played a game more than the leaders.
Benfica 3-3 Boavista (Mitroglou 41, Jonas 53pen, Fábio Espinho og 67; Iuri Medeiros 14, Lucas 20, Schembri 25)
The Eagles’ eight-match winning run came to an end, but for a while the prognosis was much bleaker for the Portuguese Liga leaders as they trailed 3-0 inside 25 minutes. Jonas’s fourth goal in as many outings in 2017 helped make it 3-2 before Fábio Espinho headed into his own net.
Rennes 0-1 Paris Saint-Germain (Draxler 39)
Julian Draxler’s charmed start to life in Paris continued as the Germany playmaker marked his Ligue 1 debut with a fine first-half goal. PSG could not add to it though never looked like conceding an equaliser as they claimed only a second win in five league outings. Temporarily, at least, PSG move alongside Monaco in second, three points behind leaders Nice.

Atlético Madrid 1-0 Real Betis (Gaitán 8)
Nicolás Gaitán’s early goal proved the difference as Diego Simeone’s side claimed a third successive Liga win. The strike capped a blistering start by the hosts but they spent much of the remainder of the game on the back foot, holding on for the points.
Leicester 0-3 Chelsea (Alonso 6 51, Pedro Rodríguez 71)
Leicester’s hopes of stringing together three league games without defeat for the first time this season fell flat as champions elect Chelsea proved too strong. Fielding a new-look 3-5-2 formation, the hosts had an early chance through Ahmed Musa, but the result was never really in doubt after Marcos Alonso struck.
